Derek Doar is my name and I have been involved in photography for some 35 years, printing both Black & White and Colour. I watched with interest a few years ago the introduction of both Digital film scanners and Digital cameras. I decided that this was the way forward, so I invested in a Nikon Digital Scanner and Epson A3 inkjet printer. I decided at that time that the Digital cameras were not yet good enough, so I carried on with my Film cameras until Ieventually invested in the Canon Eos 1D MarkII. 
When I first entered into the world of Digital Photography there were very few people to show the way so I had to make up my mind what I wanted out of my new equipment.
I saw the rather Tacky, Gaudy and poor quality images that a lot of people were printing and concluded that this was definitely not what I wanted and set off in pursuit of my first goal, which was to print a good quality A3 size print.
I invested in ADOBE PHOTOSHOP and that was the first major step in achieving my goal.

I currently use a CanonEos 1Ds MarkII and my Canon Eos 1D MarkII has been converted to Infra-Red
